Basic Industrial Electricity

Basic Industrial Electricity

Training duration: 1 day

This is the original Basic Industrial Electricity class. In this one-day course, attendees will be taken through the basics of industrial electricity. This class is a discussion on practical procedures and needed to troubleshoot effectively. To give participants a solid foundation in industrial electricity, this class starts with the fundamentals of electricity by explaining voltage, current, resistance, and power, followed by a brief discussion of Ohm’s Law.

A lengthy discussion of electrical symbols and drawings will follow including the analysis of drawings of the electrical systems of real machines, from real factories. Transformers will then be discussed including explanations of 3-phase and single-phase distribution systems. The class will end with an in-depth discussion on motor control and power circuits.

Participants will gain a firm knowledge of motor starters and how they operate in a motor control circuit. This class is great for both the beginner and someone with years of experience but no formal training.
