Field Service Technician

Our company is seeking to fill an opening for a Predictive Maintenance Field Technician, The rate of pay will vary based on experience. A Field Technician uses a variety of diagnostic instruments to aid in gathering equipment data.

Responsibilities
  • Work safely in and around operating equipment in a plant environment. Report correct unsafe acts and conditions.

  • Work safely in and around operating equipment in a plant environment. Report correct unsafe acts and conditions.

  • Perform field inspections and collect, temperature, vibration, and operating data on plant process and utility equipment.

  • Perform field inspections and collect oil samples from plant process and utility equipment.

  • Collect electrical component readings using collection equipment

  •  Network with other service and analysis personnel to share knowledge and information.

  • Follow all Safety Procedures and Policies.

  • Follow all Work Procedures and Policies.

  • The position requires travel from, and may average 15 work days away from home per month. ( Average 75% travel per month)

 
Requirements / Basic Required Qualifications
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Candidates must also be physically able to climb 40 feet of ladders from time to time, navigate small corridors on occasion, and work in extreme environments from time to time including outdoor environments exposed to the elements.

  • Candidate should not be afraid of heights as the job requires accessing machinery located in high, exposed places from time to time.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Organized, self-motivated, proactive, and creative.

  • Self starter who is able to manage time and responsibilities. This is generally an un-supervised position, so self-motivation and dedication to completing tasks is a must.

  • Candidate should be comfortable flying to job locations as well as driving long distances.

  • Candidate must be able to travel with short notice from time to time, and be available for some scheduled weekend jobs.

 
"Plus" Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of rotating and/or reciprocating equipment repair experience as a Mechanic craft worker.

  • Vibration Level 1 certification.

  • Good mechanical aptitude. Well developed interpersonal communication skills with all levels of the organization.

  • Desire to continuously improve skills as an analyst.

  •  Electrical experience.

  • Thermographic camera experience
